QR Code Canvas is built as an offline-first utility. All operations, including:
- Generating and styling customized QR codes
- Parsing and scanning QR codes from your camera or gallery photos
- Importing CSV configurations and processing bulk batch codes
- Saving code templates and generation history logs
occur entirely locally on your device. We do not host external databases, nor do we transmit, share, or upload your generated QR data, scanner inputs, or CSV spreadsheet values to any servers. Your information stays private on your own device.
2. Device Permissions Used
To provide standard functionalities, the App may request access to the following hardware/software features:
- Camera Access: Required to scan QR codes and barcodes in real-time. Camera frames are processed instantly on-device and are never saved or uploaded.
- Photo Library Access: Used to import custom brand logo files to overlay onto your QR codes, or to scan pre-existing QR images from your photo gallery.
- Storage/File Access: Used when you request to export files. We use standard system share dialogs and file pickers to securely transfer generated PNG, SVG, PDF, or ZIP files to your device's preferred directories.
3. Advertising Partners (AdMob)
The App integrates the **Google Mobile Ads (AdMob)** SDK to show non-intrusive advertisements to users on the free tier. AdMob collects anonymous identifiers to serve, analyze, and personalize ads. 4. In-App Purchases (Google Play Billing)
For Lifetime Ad-Free upgrades, transactions are processed securely through the **Google Play Billing API**. We do not collect or store credit card numbers, banking details, or personal billing records. Your billing state is managed locally via cached parameters.
